Hand-Carved in Italy

PEMA statues are produced in the Val Gardena region of Northern Italy, an area famous for its centuries-old tradition of religious woodcarving. Because each statue is individually carved and hand-finished, slight variations in wood grain, coloration, and painted details are natural and help make each piece unique.
